Jess is an author, freelance writer, and blogger. She retired from teaching after #KidGoodwin was born to stay home with him and work on her writing. She has published five romance/chick lit books and a serial novella. Her work has also appeared on the sites Baby Gaga, Motherhustle, Mamalode, Modern Mom, and Scary Mommy. She has also written for the Falls Church News Press and worked as a remote content producer for the Atlanta Journal Constitution, with articles being syndicated in several national news outlets. She graduated from Harvard University with her ALM in Extension Studies: Creative Writing and Literature in 2020.
Tommy is the Vice President, Government Affairs for the Exhibitions and Conferences Alliance. He has more than 20 years of experience leading a wide range of government relations, public affairs and issue advocacy efforts for several globally recognized associations and corporations, including Oracle Corp., AARP and the Project Management Institute (PMI). Additionally, he was a research fellow at Harvard Business School focused on the international political and legal environment in which business operates. He has a B.B.A. from The George Washington University, an M.B.A. from Auburn University, and a postgraduate diploma in European Union Law from King’s College London.
As a busy second grader, #KidGoodwin keeps mom and dad on their toes. He loves LEGO, video games, the beach, and the pool. He has bad taste in television but at least he eats his veggies.
