Barcelona Photography Tour

I have posted before about  all the awesome reasons why you should hire a vacay photographer:

Everyone gets in the picture, even mom!
You don’t have to go up to random strangers and hand over your phone.
The pictures are GOOD QUALITY, frame-worthy photos.

So, naturally, while we were in Barcelona, we looked into finding a local photographer to help us out with some family snaps. We hit the jackpot with Pick a Pic tours! Not only did we get our family portraits, we also got a kid-friendly walking tour! We visited The Gothic Quarter, the El Born neighborhood, and Ciutadella Park.

Our guide and photographer was amazing with Jacob. He took to her right away and had no problem following her directions and clowning around for some great photos.

Pick a Pic tours works with all different clients! Families, couples, groups of friends, and solo travelers! We were able to get some great family shots, but also got a few decent shots of us as a couple and several of the boy by himself! Some posed, some completely candid. Take a look!

Pick a Pic offers different options and tours. Looking for some truly Instagram-worthy snaps? They have a tour for that. Want to capture your visit to Parc Guell? They have a tour for that. Their website explains all their tour options and has an easy-to-use booking calendar as well as lots of Barcelona travel advice.

We received our proofs a few days after our shoot and got to select more than two dozen photos, which were sent to us right away. The turnaround was remarkably fast and we are so pleased with our pictures! We highly recommend Pick a Pic if you’re in Barcelona!

  1. I like the idea, and it does make a change from having to cut and paste photos of us together to prove we were there at the same time! But I’m bad enough having my photo taken by people I know, I’d be worried that I would find it awkward posing for a stranger in the middle of the street. How did you cope? Or are you just used to the paparazzi snapping you wherever you go?! 😀

    • I tried not to worry about it and just concentrated on the photog’s directions. I figured we were spending the time and money to do it, so I ignored everything else, knowing that we’d end up with a cool souvenir when all was said and done. I’m always disappointed with the pictures I end up in, and I can’t take a good selfie, so I was hopeful that a professional could pull off some decent shots. 😆 Also, it helped that people were very understanding/considerate – they’d wait for us to finish a shot or go around us so as not to disturb the photog. I’m sure they also wondered why we had a professional following us around with a gigantic camera. 😂
